AeroTex GmbH is an independent aerospace engineering consultancy business based in Vienna, Austria. AeroTex purely focussed on the issue of aircraft in-flight icing. We cover a majority of the issues which can be experienced including ice detection and protection, numerical analysis (unprotected ice shapes, heated systems, electromechanical systems), icing wind tunnel test campaigns and certification support. We also offer training courses covering a wide range of in-flight icing issues.

Richard Moser
Founder / Managing Director / Aircraft Icing Expert
Richard brings over 20 years of aircraft icing experience, spanning advanced research, ice‑protection system development, and major wind‑tunnel and flight‑test campaigns. Recognised internationally and active in AIAA and SAE communities, he previously co‑founded AeroTex UK LLP before establishing AeroTex GmbH in Austria in 2018.
Wolfgang Breitfuss
Aircraft Icing Consultant / Icing Wind Tunnel Expert
With nearly a decade of aircraft icing experience, Wolfgang spent six years at the RTA Icing Wind Tunnel managing major R&D projects and overseeing facility calibration. Since joining AeroTex in 2022, he supports customers in numerical analysis and test activities. He is also a member of the SAE AC‑9C Aircraft Icing Technology Committee and is recognised as an expert in the field.
Ariane Vieira
Aircraft Icing Engineer / CFD Expert
Ariane brings over a decade of experience in 2D and 3D CFD simulations, working extensively with open‑source solvers. After moving to Austria in 2018, she completed her PhD at TU Wien, focusing on LES simulations of complex bodies in shear‑stress flows. She joined AeroTex in 2023, where she develops advanced simulation methods for aircraft icing.
